Vablês-cèrë Fêqê (/ˈeza/ /ˈcèrë/ [fancy] [triangle]) is a subtropical Town located in the Glirukmesa Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Vablês-cèrë Fêqê is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Vablês-cèrë Fêqê was founded by Helen Dyesh, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Vablês-cèrë Fêqê has a yearly average temperature of 30°C (86°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a blistering 35°C (95°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a warm 26°C (78°F). Vablês-cèrë Fêqê receives an average of 69 cm/y (27 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Vablês-cèrë Fêqê covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 11342 m (-5738 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Vablês-cèrë Fêqê was founded durring the late 16th century in winter of the year 1467, by Helen Dyesh. The establishment of Vablês-cèrë Fêqê suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Vablês-cèrë Fêqê was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Vablês-cèrë Fêqê is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Vablês-cèrë Fêqê is is constructed arround a semi-circular broad flagstone mainstreet, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town has a fortified albit thin brick wall. The wall has most of the feeatures of a typical castle wall, just on a much smaller scale and and budget. Notably brick isn't a particuarly soild choice for resisting siege weapons. Vablês-cèrë Fêqê's wall wouldn't hinder a proper army, but it is more than sufishent for bandits and other small marauding groups. The monster and outlaw focused fortifications have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Right off the bat Vablês-cèrë Fêqê hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. This wealth has brought the town nothing but neurosis, if you can believe your eyes. Everyone acts as if you’re out to take a piece of them. Every door is locked and every window barred. Efforts are made to make you feel welcome, but only in the public areas of the town, particularly the market.

Vablês-cèrë Fêqê has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Vablês-cèrë Fêqê's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Vablês-cèrë Fêqê has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Vablês-cèrë Fêqê has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Vablês-cèrë Fêqê's citizens locals enjoy many vices and lustful appetites. They may have religious sanction for their deeds, or neighbors might trade with them for such things, or they could be followers of some ideology that blesses such pursuits. Their economy or their social organization is usually heavily reliant on such traffic, and to ensure its continuance they may have made bargains with various mortal and immortal powers.

Vablês-cèrë Fêqê's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is admittedly strange and non-linear style rooted in defiance of symmetrical shapes. It championed the creation of buildings with a unique visual appearance. the structural norms of classic buildings and deforms or moves away from elementary architectural principles. By including non-linear designs processed into its buildings and favoring fragmentation, this style expressed a form of controlled chaos. Its buildings appear out-of-the-ordinary, draw the eye in immediately and sometimes create a feeling of strangeness. These distorted shapes and structure are not reserved to the building’s outer facade, they destabilize interior elements too, favoring minimalism and play on people’s perceptions by injecting a futuristic touch.

Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is skipped in Vablês-cèrë Fêqê.

The Spider, Scarlet (Tiny) near Vablês-cèrë Fêqê are known to be quite timid.

Vablês-cèrë Fêqê's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves sex to channel Chronomancy energies of tier 1 via recitation of scripture.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Vablês-cèrë Fêqê was attacked by a renegade group of the army. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Vablês-cèrë Fêqê lost 279 people, 232 livestock, and 20 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 218, when members of Vablês-cèrë Fêqê's militia enacted an operation to train a specific elites group for an upcoming operation. The operation was complicated by a natural disaster interrupted the operation, shattering unit cohesion. The conflict ended with pitched battle between both forces, which ended in defeat for Vablês-cèrë Fêqê's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Vablês-cèrë Fêqê's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
